Who I Am

I’m Ashley Smalls— a librarian, researcher, and consultant dedicated to helping people learn, grow, and succeed. My career blends academic expertise with hands-on experience in libraries, leadership development, and educational support. Whether I’m working with students, professionals, or organizations, my goal is simple: make complex processes clear and accessible.

Registered Proctor with SmarterProctoring, EduClasses®/Food Managers Certification (FMC), and other national exam providers.

What I Do

    •    Academic & Exam Proctoring: Supporting test-takers with a calm, professional environment so they can focus and succeed.

    •    Consulting & Coaching: Guiding aspiring librarians and professionals with tools, strategies, and resources to build confidence and open doors.

    •    Research & Advocacy: As a doctoral student in Organizational Leadership, I focus on breaking barriers for underrepresented communities in education and business leadership.

Why It Matters

I believe access and equity change lives. From supporting first-generation students to helping organizations think differently about diversity and leadership, my work is rooted in trust, respect, and empowerment. Every project I take on is about creating pathways where people feel seen, capable, and equipped to succeed.

Beyond the Work

When I’m not writing, researching, or consulting, you’ll usually find me in the library leading creative programs, spending time with my family, or exploring new ideas that blend culture, leadership, and community.

Let’s Connect

I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re a student preparing for a big exam, an aspiring librarian, or an organization interested in building inclusive leadership, I’m here to help.
